Cotton is a great fiber to wear, but it has some drawbacks; it depletes the soil that it is grown. Hemp, bamboo, tencel (wood fiber) and other new and traditional fibers offers properties that better than cotton without the soil depletion issue. Linen and Hemp are traditional fibers that have greater longevity. Bamboo has water absorption properties along with bacterial and texture properties that are better than cotton. The drawback with a lot of these fibers is that they are not currently available in their plant form in the United States to be processed as fibers. We have allowed the International market to become the provider of what can be easily grown and processed in America.

Loss of habitat has pitted villagers against the orangutans, who may venture into gardens for food. Locals are known to kill great apes for food and out of fear.

Our product is our catalog and the customer is only charged when they make an order through us. We wish to share this discussion with Sharon Alkire at sharon.alkire@gmail.com. She took exception to this decision and we responded with why we made this business decision.

I am a startup company who still is very much in the red with every sale I make. I employ one person (me) who works for free to program the site, create business connections with providers and service the sales to customers. One item shipping actually costs me; it does not put any profit (net or gross) in my pocket.

Let us look at the costs directly related to shipping a bra thru us to you. We have three cost points to cover:

The cost to purchase the item from the provider.
The cost to ship by the provider to you.
The cost for credit card approval from the bank.

Even with the additional $10 we will be very lucky to see a 10% in gross profit from from the total of $10 shipping and cost of item.. Now add the cost of overhead to keep this business online, that does not include a paycheck so that I can have a roof over my head and eat, and there is absolutely nothing to provide any income to this business. I am actually borrowing from my savings to keep this company alive; I believe in the concept and the good it brings or I would not be making the sacrifice. Hopefully enough people agree and I will be able to make enough income to stay alive in the near future. I could add the shipping fee to the price point of each item I sell therefore increasing the total cost of every sale I make, but that would not be honest. I am not in this business to become rich; I just want to make a living so that I can have a roof over my head and eat another meal.
