Palm Oil Reason for not supporting the sale in any shape or form
In Kalimantan (Indonesian Borneo) orangutans are being hunted and driven into
possible extinction.
Indonesia, which is home to 90% of the world’s orangutan population, is also
home to rampant unregulated and illegal palm plantations, deforestation and
logging. Loss of habitat has pitted villagers against the orangutans, who may
venture into gardens for food. Locals are known to kill great apes for food and
out of fear.
But the real culprits are the industries who see orangutan conservation as a
threat to their business. These firms are not only destroying the orangutans’
habitat, but have allegedly paid villagers to hunt and kill orangutans. Quote from GreenFudge.org - December 26, 2011 posting.

Our Product is the Catalog We ask a $10 fee for each order - Why??????
Our product is our catalog and the customer is only charged when they make an order through us. We wish to share this discussion with Sharon Alkire at sharon.alkire@gmail.com. She took exception to this decision and we responded with why we made this business decision.

Subject: shipping
I appreciate that you put the notice about a flat shipping fee
for every order. I also wanted to let you know that I am choosing not to order
from you because of your flat fee. $10 is, of course, an outrageous charge for
shipping a bra, for example, and it seems you have taken this into account when
setting this policy. It also taints my image of your company for future
purchases, and that should be taken into account as well. Thank you,
-Sharon
Dear Sharon Alkire,
I am a startup company who still is very much in the red with every
sale I make. I employ one person (me) who works for free to program the site,
create business connections with providers and service the sales to customers.
One item shipping actually costs me; it does not put any profit (net or gross)
in my pocket.
Let us look at the costs directly related to shipping a bra thru us to
you. We have three cost points to cover:
-
The cost to purchase the item from the provider.
-
The cost to ship by the provider to you.
-
The cost for credit card approval from the bank.
Even with the additional $10 we will be very lucky to see a 10% in gross
profit from from the total of $10 shipping and cost of item.. Now add the cost
of overhead to keep this business online, that does not include a paycheck so
that I can have a roof over my head and eat, and there is absolutely nothing to
provide any income to this business. I am actually borrowing from my savings to
keep this company alive; I believe in the concept and the good it brings or I
would not be making the sacrifice. Hopefully enough people agree and I will be
able to make enough income to stay alive in the near future. I could add the
shipping fee to the price point of each item I sell therefore increasing the
total cost of every sale I make, but that would not be honest. I am not in this
business to become rich; I just want to make a living so that I can have a roof
over my head and eat another meal.
Yours,

business
Thank you for your very personal, unprofessional response. I wish you luck
with your business.
Sharon
Wow!!! Will be posting your judgment in my blog. I could not have written a
more unkind letter or response to a respectful sharing of a business decision
and the reasoning behind it. It would be wise in the future to think very
carefully what you pass into public domain and how it reflects on your
personally.

Traditional Advertising is hit or miss costing a lot of money for very little or no rate of return. Just as snail mail is dying because of email the Internet is preparing to kill print media (Newspapers, Magazines and Books). One thing that will not die is the love of Shopping, but where are people switching from shopping to shopping on?? Yes, from traditional stores to the Internet. This is where Natural Organic Clothes becomes a valuable tool for the small manufacturer and service provider whose sales benefits from shipping nationally or even internationally. Simply place your product or service in this Internet Catalog paying the cost to advertise what you sell and your advertising will pay for itself as the satisfied consumer finds a relaxing way to find you. After you have checked out our sales floor go to http://www.naturalorganicclothes.com/advertising_american_made_products and checkout these simple inexpensive options.

Cotton is a great fiber to wear, but it has some drawbacks; it depletes the soil that it is grown. Hemp, bamboo, tencel (wood fiber) and other new and traditional fibers offers properties that better than cotton without the soil depletion issue. Linen and Hemp are traditional fibers that have greater longevity. Bamboo has water absorption properties along with bacterial and texture properties that are better than cotton. The drawback with a lot of these fibers is that they are not currently available in their plant form in the United States to be processed as fibers. We have allowed the International market to become the provider of what can be easily grown and processed in America.

Leather is a great eco friendly resource for creating shoes, but many of the commercially made shoes use Formaldahyde to preserve the materials from natural degradation. Formaldahyde is a proven creator of health issues, especially allergies. Natural Organic Clothes supports manufactures of healthy shoes that protects the user from this environmental hazard. The selection of soft moccasins and bull hide sandals from newborn through size 15 adult gives a fantastic range of healthy shoes for the customer to choose from. Should animal leather not be a option then Natural Organic Clothes also offers a wide range of Vegan man made leather like materials without health damaging chemicals. The feet is notorious for absorbing environmental chemicals and the shoe that does not allow the foot to breath so it is dry and healthy is a prefect breeding ground for these hazards to health.
